TREKKING GEARS/EQUIPMENTS CHECKLIST:
NOTE: These are just like a guidelines for your equipments/clothings preparation, things can be added or deducted as per your suitability and necessity and remember the number of days you are travelling for and time of the year and altitude you are going at.
Head:
- Sun hat or scarf
- Light balaclava or warm fleece hat
- Sunglasses with UV protection
- sunscreen lotion/sun balm
Upper Body:
- Few Shirts / T-shirts as your requirement
- Light and expedition weight thermal tops
- Fleece jacket or pullover
- Fleece Wind-Stopper jacket (optional)
- Waterproof (preferably breathable fabric) shell jacket
- Down vest and/or jacket
Hands:
- Lightweight warm gloves plus thick gloves (if you are going higher)
Lower Body:
- Underwear normal quantity
- Hiking shorts
- Lightweight cotton long pants
- Light and expedition weight thermal bottoms
- Fleece or wool pants
- Waterproof (preferably breathable fabric) shell pants
Feet:
- Thin, lightweight inner socks
- Thick, warm wool hiking socks
- Hiking boots with spare laces
- Camp shoes (sneakers and/or sandals)
- Gaiters
Accessories: (as per your wish)
- Sleeping bag rated to below zero degrees
- Headlamp (e.g. Petzl Zoom) with spare bulbs and batteries
- Small pad or combination lock-to-lock trek bag
- Basic First Aid Kit (see Health and Medicinal)
- Large plastic bags - for keeping items dry inside trek bag
- Daypack (approximately 2500 to 3000 cubic inches)
- Water bottles
- Toiletries
- Small wash towel
- Walking sticks
- Camera with spare batteries and films, Reading materials, game items, notebooks, rubber band pen and pencil, envelope, a dairy, a calendar, a pocketknife, binoculars (optional), small pillow or headrest (optional), passport and passport size photos for your visa on arrival in international Airport (better to bring 5 copy), Personal medicine.
