Thorong Peak Climbing

Itinerary:

Day 01: Bus to Besi Sahar, the starting point of the trek.
Day 02: Trek to Bahundanda for the night, a village set on a long ridge at 1310m.
Day 03:Trek through amphitheatre-shaped rice terraces, lush forests, Spend the night at Charuje.
Day 04: Enter the Manang district, overnight in Bagarchhap, a typically Tibetan style village.
Day 05: Negotiate a few steep forested ridges, and views major Himalayan peaks. Overnight in Chame.
Day 06: A narrow steep path through a very dense forest eventually opening up to Pisang.
Day 07: Enter the Upper Manang region. Manang village resembles a medieval fortress.
Day 08: Rest Day, Manang. Necessary for acclimatization.
Day 09: Start the 2000m ascents up to Throng La Pass. A short walk up to Yak Kharka.
Day 10: Make your way to the foot to the pass, Throng Phedi.
Day 11: Throng Peak high camp 5,416m, Overnight camp
Day 12: Throng Peak summit and back to base camp (6400 m.)
Day 13: Trek to Kagbeni, along a plateau above the Kali Gandaki, the world’s deepest gorge.
Day 13: Walk to at Marpha, renowned for an assortment of apple delicacies.
Day 14: Emerge back into subtropical forests, lush with vegetation. Stay the night at Lete.
Day 15: A steep descent down to Tatopani.
Day 16: Rest day Tatopani. Tatopani means “hot water”; the village is famous for its natural hot springs.
Day 17: The trail today offers a few up and down hill sections. Stay at Sikha, a prosperous Magar village.
Day 18: Trek through Rhododendron & Magnolia forests, passing small settlements up to Ghorepani.
Day 19: After an early hike up Poon Hill continue the trek down to Ulleri.
Day 20: A short walk today descending a stone staircase. Your Last night is spent in Birethanti, Transfer by road back to Pokhara.
Day 21: One extra days reserve for encase of emergency

  • Nepal entree visa:
  • International airfare
  • Lunch and evening meals in Kathmandu (and also in the case of early return from the mountain than the scheduled itinerary)
  • Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, and early return from the mountain(due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary
  • Travel and rescue insurance
  • Personal expenses (phone calls, laundry, bar bills, battery recharge, water bottle, hot shower during the trekking etc.)
  • Personal trekking equipment and clothing
  • Any donation and monuments entrance fee
  • Tips for guides and porters
